Logic Model 1: Strategic Overview

1.1

Evidence of an association between the intermediate outcome that society and communities understand the value of families and recognise their role in supporting them and the long term outcome relating to Scotland's society and culture that values and supports the role of parents, CYP and strong families.

1.2 to 1.5

There is evidence of an association between the intermediate outcomes, supported by the actions set out in models 2 and 3, and one or more of the long-term outcomes in model 1.

1.6

Evidence that improving the specified short-term and intermediate outcomes will contribute to improved long-term outcomes for CYP and this will in turn contribute to these CYP being better prepared for parenthood themselves in future.

1.7

Evidence that improving the specified long-term outcomes will contribute to the national outcomes.

Logic Model 2:Interventions to support parents and families

2.1

Action to provide support to enable local networks and peer support, and participation in society and work (e.g. crèches, facilities, resources).

2.2, 2.3

Evidence that developing and communicating appropriate evidence-informed messages about the value of parenting to individuals and society and about CYP development and attachment will prepare individuals for parenthood.

2.4, 2.5, 2.6 and 2.7 to 2.10

Evidence that developing and communicating appropriate evidence-informed messages about the value of parenting to individuals and society and about CYP development and attachment will prepare individuals for parenthood.

Evidence of an association between a range of actions for parents and families and one or more of the short-term outcomes

Logic Model 3: Structures and systems

3.1 to 3.5

Evidence to support the theory that a range of actions will contribute to the reduction of organisational barriers and in turn will improve engagement of parents and families and the early identification of support needs.

3.6 , 3.7 , 3.8 , 3.9 to 3.12

Evidence to support that the range of activities will ensure that the short term outcomes are met.
