Can smoking bans lead to sustained improvements in population health
This presentation was delivered at the World Epidemiology Congress - www.epidemiology2011.com – in August 2011 by Professor Sally Haw of the University of Stirling and formerly of NHS Health Scotland.
NHS Health Scotland in conjunction with the Scottish Government funded the national evaluation of the Scottish smoke-free legislation and Sally Haw led the collaboration of research and researchers.
The presentation provides an overview of findings from evaluations of smoke-free legislation and whether these lead to sustained improvements in population health.
