Publication
| Publication name: | Health in our multi-ethnic Scotland - future research priorities |
| Description: | The Scottish Government is committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of all, regardless of their background. A review of ethnicity and health research in Scotland was commissioned by the Scottish Executive and published in 2001. It found that, despite some excellent work, not enough was known about the health of ethnic minorities in Scotland and it made a number
of recommendations for future research. At a seminar four years later, held by the National Resource Centre for Ethnic Minority Health, there was a consensus that little further progress had been made. At the seminar, NHS Health Scotland made a commitment to establish a working group that would develop a strategic programme of research aimed at rectifying the situation. |
