| Description: | This document was commissioned by Health Scotland and ASH Scotland to take account of the experience of the first few years of delivering these services, and recent developments in the evidence base in smoking cessation. It replaces the document Smoking Cessation Guidelines for Scotland published in 2000. This updated document makes recommendations for the organisation and implementation of clinical interventions to promote smoking cessation in Scotland. It is intended for the use of health professionals and health planners at all levels. It provides a blueprint for the development of systems for ensuring that all health professionals are able to play an effective role. |
