Description: NHS Health Scotland commissioned a Study of Drinking in Scotland. It was designed to improve our understanding of drinking behaviours and different drinking cultures in Scotland, and it is intended that the findings will contribute to the further development of a Scottish alcohol strategy to reduce alcohol-related harm.

This document outlines the findings from a supplementary analysis of drinking diaries undertaken as part of the study’s primary research component.
