Smoking Cessation Pilot Project Final Report

Description:Reducing smoking among young people is a key policy objective of the Scottish Executive. One of the main elements of the Executive’s tobacco control strategy has been the provision of extra funding to Health Boards to develop local smoking cessation services. Young people, along with pregnant women and low income smokers, have been identified as one of the three key target groups. However, there has been relatively little research on smoking cessation in adolescents and young adults to inform the development of these services.
