Publication name: Guidance on action to reduce suicides at locations of concern in Scotland
Date: 01 August 2018
Description: This guidance is about preventing suicides at locations of concern and is an important part of the suicide prevention strategy in Scotland. A location of concern has been defined as ‘a specific, usually public, site which is frequently used as a location for suicide and which provides either means or opportunity for suicide’. This guidance recognises the need for a range of agencies working in partnership, and is adapted from the Australian Government Department of Health publication, Preventing Suicide at Suicide Hotspots.
