Survey data

The Health Education Population Survey (HEPS) monitored health-related knowledge, attitudes, behaviour and behavioural motivations amongst adults (aged 16-74) in mainland Scotland.
The survey ran from 1996 to 2007 with a nationally representative annual sample of around 1800 individuals and a response rate around 70%. From 2008, the survey was replaced by the Knowledge, Attitudes and Motivations (KAM) module in the Scottish Government's Scottish Health Survey.
