The current review of Mental Health Policy
draws on a range of achievements and work in this area.
The National Programme for Improving Mental Health Review (external link) aims to provide recommendations and conclusions for Scotland's mental health improvement strategy.
The final report of the Mental Health Policy Review is published in mid-February 2008. The Review Panel will be launching their findings at the National Dialogue event "Towards a Mentally Flourishing Scotland" on the 19th February at Perth Concert Hall.

The Review Panel
An independent, expert panel and writer were appointed to undertake this review and are supported in this task by a small group within Health Scotland. Process and progress information produced by the panel can be found below;
- First panel meeting regarding framework of the review
- Second panel meeting focusing on public health evidence
- Third panel meeting focusing on children and young people, employment and working and later life
- Fourth panel meeting focusing on communities, culture and communications.
- Fifth panel meeting focusing on services,infrastructure for delivery and the prison service.
