Support for Community Health Partnerships (CHPs)
Community Health Partnerships (CHPs) have a key role to play working with local communities to identify opportunities to improve health and to take action to reduce health inequalities.
NHS Health Scotland supported a CHP health improvement working group to update the CHP health improvement guidance. This was issued as CEL 26 (2009) Health Improvement and Community Health Partnerships Advice Notice in August 2009.
NHS Health Scotland also support capacity within CHPs, their community planning and voluntary sector partners in a number of areas from:
- outcomes planning
- evaluation
- learning and workforce development
- behaviour change and health inequalities: training for Keep Well and Anticipatory Care practitioners training for inequalities.
