Mental health and race equality
NHS Health Scotland's Mental health and race equality programme was funded by the Scottish Government's Mental Health Division from 2006 to 2011. The aims of the programme included ensuring that people from Black and minority ethnic communities secure equal chances to experience the best possible mental health and wellbeing.
The programme worked with a wide range of voluntary sector and community organisations as well as the NHS and local authorities to promote race equality within mental health services across Scotland.
