Gerard Hastings is the Professor of Social Marketing at Stirling University and Director of the Institute for Social Marketing and the Cancer Research UK Centre for Tobacco Control Research. He has acted as an Advisor to the WHO on tobacco and alcohol marketing as well as a Special Advisor to the various House of Commons Health Select Committees. He currently provides regular guidance on social and critical marketing to the Scottish, UK and European Parliaments.
