The Evaluation team works with NHS Health Scotland’s key customers so they can assess the impact and contribution of their work to National and Local Outcomes. We provide advice, practical support and access to resources and tools. We take action to build evaluation and learning into improvement, funding and policy-making processes.

There are many approaches to outcomes planning and evaluation. The tools that we commonly use include:

In 2012-13, the Evaluation Team worked with the Joint Improvement Team (JIT) and three local health and social care partnerships to pilot the use of the ideas, tools and techniques of Contribution Analysis, a participatory approach to outcome planning, evaluation and performance reporting.
