Evaluation summer school

Since 2006, the Evaluation Summer School provided a unique opportunity for those working nationally, locally and across all sectors, to consider the implications of evaluation in their practice. NHS Health Scotland has been involved in funding it from its early days, and organised the last three summer schools

  • build understanding of recent developments in evaluation,

  • Use expert opinion from here and abroad

  • provide opportunities to debate innovation in evaluation,

  • encourage learning from across sectors.

The Summer School developed a reputation for being a unique evaluation event, bringing together not just international and local experts, academics, and policy makers, but practitioners and evaluation users from across a wide variety of sectors including, Local Authorities, the Voluntary sector, Government, Independent consultants, and the NHS.

What's next?

Currently, the Summer School is abeyance, and there is uncertainty about its future. However, presentations and materials from previous summer schools are still available (see right hand sidebar)
