The Tobacco and Primary Medical Services (Scotland) Act 2010 was passed in January 2010. It proposed a number of new regulations aimed at making smoking less attractive and less accessible to children and young people under the age of 18. The focus of the evaluation led by NHS Health Scotland will be on the analysis of tobacco retail sales. The evaluation will take place once the legislation has come into force.
