Working in partnership, NHS Health Scotland has developed an outcomes framework, with individuals from government, health boards, local authorities and the third sector.
- Develop an outcomes framework which identifies the key outcomes for mental health improvement.
- Specify those local activities which might be undertaken to achieve key outcomes.
- Support an outcomes-focussed and evidence-informed approach.

This is a website to help you plan and evaluate Health Improvement programmes.
The website contains:
Local Use and Testing
We are currently working with colleagues in Ayrshire, Dundee, Inverclyde, Falkirk, Lanarkshire, Lothian and the state hospital to use the framework, in order to identify key outcomes for mental health improvement which are locally relevant.
We hope to work with other areas as the framework becomes more widely known.
We are using the local work to test the framework and will revise it in autumn 2012.
