Approach
Working in partnership, NHS Health Scotland has developed an outcomes framework, with individuals from government, health boards, local authorities, the third sector, and business and trade union organisations.

Aim
- Develop an outcomes framework which identifies the key outcomes for the health and work agenda.
- Specify those local activities which might be undertaken to achieve key outcomes.
- Support an outcomes-focussed and evidence-informed approach.
Local and National Use and Testing
Following publication of the framework (October 2010) we will work with local areas and the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives to test the framework.
The framework will be revised periodically to take into account any new evidence in the field of health and work.
