Diabetes Needs Assessment

Project Background

The Scottish Diabetes Group requested that ScotPHN update the 1999 needs assessment for diabetes due to the increase in prevalence in Type 2 diabetes, the existence of better data on diabetes and the current debate over screening for Type 2 diabetes.

Aim of Project

To update the 1999 needs assessment for diabetes undertaken by the Scottish Needs Assessment Programme (SNAP).

The final assessment should describe the capacity of the population to benefit from a service or intervention and to make suggestions as to how such benefits can be delivered.
