Scottish Obesity Action Resource (SOAR)

Project Background

This was identified as a first project for ScotPHN by the ScotPHN Steering Group.

The project looked at a range of prevention and treatment services available across all NHS Boards and local authority areas in Scotland. Questionnaires were sent to GPs and Community Pharmacists. Regional workshops were held in May and June 2007 to feedback on findings.

Aim of Project

The aim of the project was to create an accessible resource that would help stimulate action across Scotland to improve the treatment and prevention of obesity.
