Networks

Group of people from different backgrounds

NHS Health Scotland and our partners support a range of networks for the sharing of information and good practice in specific areas of interest.

Learning Networks

Our Learning Networks were established to support the dissemination of learning accrued during the National Health Demonstration Projects and to develop and share the evidence base for action in the areas of sexual health and early years. Access our:

We also host networks to help support and complement national and international programmes of work in particular areas:

  • The Healthy Environment Network (HEN) provides a largely informal interface between organisations and professions whose activities have the capacity to change and preserve the environment in the interests of human health.
  • The Scottish Public Health Network (ScotPHN) facilitates joint working between all organisations involved in health improvement and health services by providing a means of communication and through specific projects in areas of national importance.
  • The Health Impact Assessment Network which is co-ordinated by NHS Health Scotland and is open to anyone working or planning to work on health impact assessments in Scotland.
  • The Scottish Mental Health and Ethnicity Research Network was launched in 2009 as a forum for sharing knowledge, research and evidence in the area of mental health, ethnicity and race equality.
