The Network organises an annual meeting, on a topic of mutual interest. During the rest of the year it operates as a "virtual network", communicating through the coordinator by e-mail.

Equally well: the importance of place

Following the publication of “Equally Well” the report on the Ministerial Task Group on inequalities and health, we are delighted to announce that the environment and inequalities will be the focus of our next network meeting. Equally Well made a number of environmental recommendations with respect to both green space provision and transport issues.
We plan to have presentations on the soon to be launched implementation plan for “Equally Well”, and associated policy and research initiatives which seek to influence our environments to improve and protect health. We will retain our forward looking approach by also hearing about a recent study on climate change and inequalities.
As in previous years, there will be a small delegate cost to cover the hire of the venue and catering. We are still finalising details, but it will be in the region of £25.
