Have a Heart Paisley Phase 2
The second phase of Have a Heart Paisley (HaHP) was officially launched by Rhona Brankin MSP, Deputy Minister for Health and Social Care on Monday 14th March 2005.
Vision
The vision for the second phase has been developed through a process of engagement with local and National partners and draws on learning from the evaluation of Phase 1.
Through the combined efforts of its partners, HaHP will deliver a targeted programme for the working age population (aged 45-60), and those with heart disease, in Paisley.
The aim is to demonstrate the degree to which primary and secondary preventive measures can improve heart health by tackling risk factors and unmet treatment need.
This vision for Have a Heart Paisley focuses on support for those most at risk of developing heart disease and making services accessible to those most in need. Three specific dimensions of work are being delivered through a partnership approach:
A: A primary prevention programme that helps those aged 45-60 years old who are at risk of developing heart disease
B: A secondary prevention programme that helps those people of any age who already have established heart disease
C: Marketing and development activity that supports these programmes by encouraging participation, building confidence and increasing skills
