Healthy Working Lives provides advice and guidance to employers to maintain and develop safe and healthy workplaces which protect and promote the health of employees. Research has shown that the health and wellbeing of a workforce is key to successful business performance. The physical working environment as well as staff engagement and employment arrangements all contribute to ensuring work is 'good work'. Healthy Working Lives supports businesses of all sizes through its Award Programme as well as providing stand-alone services which include on line resources and tools, a national Adviceline, learning and development opportunities as well as face to face support specifically tailored for small and medium sized businesses.
