Definition of Data Sources

For each of the outcomes in each of the logic models, potential outcome indicators are identified in a series of tables, together with potential data sources. Some of these sources are surveys that provide data on a range of outcomes. We have summarised the most commonly used surveys in Table 1 below

Colour coding is used to indicate the availability of data for each outcome identified in the outcomes framework:

green dot indicates that the item data exists in the suggested format.  
yellow dot has been used where some data exist but they do not measure precisely the outcome identified.
red dot has been used where the item has been collected at some point in the past but is not now routinely collected: a date is given to indicate when the outcome data were last collected. 
Where the item is left blank, no data are available.
