Mentally Healthy Workplace Training Programme

SCHWL delivers the 2 day Mentally Healthy Workplace Training Programme throughout Scotland. The aim of the course is to provide information and guidance to employers to help deal with workplace issues. The programme will enable employers/managers to create a greater awareness around mental health in their workplace and provide them with the knowledge and skills to deal with issues as they arise. On completion, participants will have:
Increased knowledge of the impact of alcohol and drugs on the workforce. substances and their impact on the individual and workplace.
The legal framework within which to implement workplace alcohol and drugs policies. Development and implementation of alcohol and drugs policies, the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 2005, the practical implications of the DDA, how to promote a mentally healthy workplace, how to promote good personal mental health and confidence in dealing with staff issues around alcohol and drugs.

The sessions are delivered by Alcohol Focus trainers and co-ordinated by your local HWL team.
