Health Improvement Policy Evaluation (PEA) Strategy
Health Scotland co-ordinates the evaluation of health improvement policy in Scotland, as set out in 'Improving Health in Scotland: The Challenge.
An Advisory Group, chaired by Prof. Steve Platt, helped to formulate Health Scotland's strategic approach to evaluation.
A consultation paper was produced by this Advisory Group in 2005.
A PDF of our evaluation strategy with a three year workplan is available to download:
Policy Evaluation Strategy and Workplan 2005-08
The work programme has five main strands:
Policy Evaluation
Programme Evaluation
Policy Reviews
Building Evaluation Capability
Learning Across Evaluations
An additional strand of work has since developed on outcome planning and performance management.
