Description: Scotland's Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) is a twelve hour training course that teaches participants to; recognise the signs and symptoms of someone with mental ill health, respond to various mental health crises and engage with, support and signpost people to appropriate professional help. The course is targeted at all members of the public as well as professionals and staff from all sectors.

We have equality impact assessed the course materials for the SMHFA training and the findings and recommendations of the EQIA can be found below. The report takes into account comments received during the consultation of the EQIA.
