Publication name: Young peoples attitudes towards gendered violence

Description: The purpose of this study is to investigate young peoples' awareness of and views about violence and abusive behaviour towards women. The research was carried out in ten secondary schools in four Scottish Education Authorities, in one Further Education College and in youth group settings. The report draws on a questionnaire-based survey of 1,395 young people and twelve focus group discussions. In structure and content, the questionnaire was informed by similar studies conducted in Britain, the US and Australia.
