| Description: | NHS Health Scotland has purchased off-trade alcohol sales data from The Nielsen Company to contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of Scotland’s alcohol strategy.
The analysis presented in these two reports describes the price distribution of alcohol sold through the off-trade in 2009. The first report presents this analysis for Scotland and was published in July 2010 to inform the development of the policy proposals in the Alcohol Etc. (Scotland) Bill. As the work moves to evaluation, comparison will be made between the price distribution of alcohol sold through the off-trade in Scotland with England and Wales. The second report therefore presents this analysis for England and Wales and was published in March 2011. The accompanying datasets are also available below. |
