Publication name: Preventing HCV in Scotland: options for action
Date: 01 March 2002
Description: Report of a deliberative seminar held at Stirling Royal Infirmary. The aims of the seminar were: i) to develop clear recommendations about what action could be taken at a local level to prevent HCV transmission among injecting drug users (IDUs) ii) to develop recommendations about pilot HCV prevention initiatives that should be developed and evaluated. The report outlines the main evidence presented at the seminar, and the recommendations for action that were developed by the HCV planning group based on the discussions that took place. The report also builds on ideas developed during the National Workshop on the Prevention of Hepatitis C in Injecting Drug Users that was held in November 2000.
