Description:Health Scotland’s Annual Review took place at Thistle House on Thursday 27th August 2009 with Shona Robison, the Minister for Public Health and Sport. She was accompanied by Dr Kevin Woods, CEO of NHS Scotland and the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Harry Burns.

The review is an important event for NHS Health Scotland and is part of the process of holding NHS boards to account for expenditure of public money invested in the NHS in Scotland. This year the focus was on partnership working and the relationship we have with our customers but the agenda also covered key areas of NHS Health Scotland’s work on Mental Health and Wellbeing, Anticipatory Care, Physical Activity and common health legacy and Equality and Diversity.

As well as the Annual Review meeting the Minister attended a Partnership Forum; a pre-testing meeting on Choose Life communications and a ‘showcase’ exhibition which covered Alcohol Brief Interventions; The Green Exercise Partnership and an ‘Equally Connected’ Mental Health Race Equality project.
