| Publication name: | Planning and Partnership Sub-group Report to the Community-led Supporting and Developing Healthy Communities Task Group |
| Description: | In September 2004, the Stakeholders Group of the Joint Ministerial Health Improvement Steering Group called for a Task Group to take forward the community-led pillar of the Challenge. The consequent Community-led Supporting and Developing Healthy Communities Task Group identified a range of interests, challenges and opportunities in relation to supporting and developing healthy communities, and four priority areas were identified.
The Planning and Partnership sub-group of the Task Group wrote this report. This sub-group aimed to ascertain how existing and emerging local planning and partnership structures and processes, in particular community planning partnerships and community health partnerships, support the development of healthy communities and promote voluntary sector engagement in health improvement. This report also makes recommendations as to how partnerships and planning processes could potentially be further strengthened and improved. |
