| Description: | The aim of the one-day Delivering for Health: The Role of a Health Promoting Health Service conference was to establish health improvement as a major priority in terms of policy commitment and performance management, to ensure that it is translated into real action, and to strive to embed the concept of a health promoting health service in strategic planning and resource allocation. In addition, the conference was told that engaging with senior management is vital and the Chief Executive of Health Scotland, Graham Robertson, pledged to take the ideas and recommendations emerging from the conference and to seek the commitment of the NHS Chief Executives. |
