| Publication name: | Delivering for Health Conference Full Report |
| Description: | The conference was organised against the backdrop of policy developments which highlight the need to equip the health service to encourage and secure health improvement and “wellness” rather than just treating illness. The concept of health improvement/ health promotion is based on four principles developed and agreed by countries throughout the world: equity, participation, empowerment and sustainability. The Health Promoting Health Service approach provides a structure for the NHS to adopt and work towards making those principles a reality. |
