Employment monitoring and reporting

Health Scotland is committed to equality of opportunity for all its staff and promotes a culture of diversity. As part of our Race Equality Duty we collect and monitor data on the ethnicity of our staff and specific aspects of recruitment and progression. Workforce monitoring is an essential part to managing diversity in the workplace, helping us to know if our employment actions in our equality schemes are making a difference. Analysing the data can:

  1. highlight possible inequalities;
  2. investigate the underlying causes; and
  3. remove any unfairness or disadvantage.

See the Equal Pay Policy/Statement to read about our commitment to the principles of equal pay and how we will work toward achieving these.
