This course is aimed at those who wish to broaden their understanding of factors that affect mental health and how to promote positive mental well-being.
What are the aims of the course?
The course aims to:
* Develop an understanding of the concept of mental health improvement and its role in promoting well-being and preventing illness
* Explore the impact of equality and diversity issues on mental and well-being
* Provide information about effective initiatives
* Provide a range of practical activities to develop the mental health improvement role
* Recommend ways in which mental health improvement activities can be planned, monitored and evaluated
How is it delivered?
The training is delivered over 2 days (although a one-day course can be provided on special request)

The course is aimed at a broad audience of people working across Scotland at both strategic and operational levels within organisations in a range of sectors and settings (health, social care, education and voluntary) who recognise they have the potential to promote mental health improvement through raising awareness and setting up projects.

Costs vary from free up to £100 for 2 days
